Healthier Cooking With Air Fryer

Air frying is a technique that you can fry, grill and roast foods without any or a lot of oil.  It can be a healthier way of cooking since in many cases you don’t need any oil or very little.

I received an air fryer as a Christmas gift and have used it several times for different foods.  I have made pork chops, brats, steak, French fries and more. One thing is, it may not be suitable for cooking meals for larger families since you can only fit a couple pieces of meat in the basket at a time.  It is an easy way to cook frozen foods such as chicken nuggets, French toast strips and other frozen appetizers instead of warming up the oven.

I used this recipe for pork chops recently.  I also used a potato I had previously cooked, mixed with a little oil and seasoning and heated with the pork chops.  In 15 minutes I had two pork chops cooked.  They were moist on the inside and crispy on the outside without any oil.  I have also cooked steak just by marinating in soy sauce for a few minutes.

Air fryers are also a safer way for kids to cook , with supervision than ordinary deep fryers.  Teens can use it to warm up or cook frozen foods without having to warm up the oven or use oil.
